Okay guys, help me plan the party.
- When? - Here’s what I am thinking. I am not a big fan of doing Christmas parties during the Christmas holidays. Why? Because I have asked so much of the band members and the choir members, that I hate to take up another night that most people don’t have free anyway. So I like doing it afterwards. Okay, so if we have a party in Jan. we can either have a party before choir practice resumes or we can have a party after choir practice resumes. If we do it after practice resumes it come be a big drawing card to get more people involved in the choir. If we do it before practice starts, I imagine that it will only be current choir members. I wish to use the choir party to draw prospects into the choir.
- What to eat? - I’m game for anything
- What to do? - Yeah, not creative either.
Help me plan this out.

Lets go to HOOTERS!!! Josh Ross’s Idea.
Ha ha - good one Reginald James VanPatterson Horatio III Esquire (& Josh) but…..
I think you are right about drawing in a bigger audiance if you wait until after you start again. Why not have a “Come Party with the Choir” shindig where it seems like we are having a “fellowship”. Also, I think a lot of what holds back people from joing a choir is the fear of being rejected. Do you have try outs? What am I as far as alto, tenor, etc? Where would I stand? What if I don’t sing good - can I still join? These are questions that need to be answered before they are asked. It will help take the edge (nerves) off people wanting to join.
What to eat? (Catfish Lasagna followed by Peanut Butter and Tunafish Smoothies)…… What to do? (Perhaps Karaoke try outs in comfortable setting, separated from a large crowds until their nerves are settled to perform in front of an audience). Does any body know if Gary Broglin can sing? Perhaps he’s a tenor!
Alright, well the party is now scheduled for Jan 19th.
We need games. I was also thinking about handing out some awards but the awards are funny and not serious and the awards would be a little humorous as well.
We need food, games, and advertisements to prospects.
Alright! A party! I say we give the biggest award to this Reginald James VanPatterson Horatio III Esquire person with a name like that he surely deserves something!!!
Yeah he can bring the food, games and do the advertising for us,as well!!
O.K. is the party on the 19th or the 26Th the bulletin says the 26th? Do we bring a present or what food???
it’s that time again!
We usually try to have the party after Christmas due to the huge amount of activites we are all already in. But I’m up for anything. What do you guys think?
party, party, party!
