We are doing the song “Offering” from our Christmas Cantata this Sunday. Instrumentalists and singers need to know.
We are having band practice tonight at 7:30 or right after the meal, if the meal goes on after 7:30.
Love you guys,

Today I was challenged during my quite time. I was to list my priorities in life. Of course it is pretty easy for Christians to say that God comes first. But the idea wasn’t to list what should be. The priority list is to be made as though other people are watching you. According to your actions, not your good-intentions, what are your priorities? Wow, good challenge.
Henry Varley said this, “It remains to be seen what God will do with a man who gives himself up wholly to Him.” D.L. Moody stated in response, “I will be that man.”
2 Chronicles 16:9 - “The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”

Romans 14
1 Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God. 2 So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do good and you will have its approval. 4 For government is God’s servant to you for good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For government is God’s servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong. 5 Therefore, you must submit, not only because of wrath, but also because of your conscience. 6 And for this reason you pay taxes, since the authorities are God’s public servants, continually attending to these tasks. 7 Pay your obligations to everyone: taxes to those you owe taxes, tolls to those you owe tolls, respect to those you owe respect, and honor to those you owe honor.
8 Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments:
- You shall not commit adultery,
- you shall not murder,
- you shall not steal,
- you shall not covet,
and if there is any other commandment—all are summed up by this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.
11 Besides this, knowing the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over, and the daylight is near, so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

Sunday Morning I woke up with a song ready to sing. It was one of those Zephaniah 3:17 moments. The song that I woke up to was entitled, “Hosanna”. This is not one of these words that I knew right off the top of my head. So I looked up Hosanna hoping to find the reason why God was speaking this word heavily to me. “Hosanna” means to give acclamation towards. Wow. I have no idea what that means in practicality. So I looked up acclamation. “Acclamation” means to vote for someone either by shouting or some physical reaction. The vote cannot be done by a silent ballot.
Now I have plans tomorrow to go and vote. I will be voting for a president (actually a vice-president) who’s values closely match my own. But this vote will be a private vote.
To give Hosanna to Christ is a public physical vote. We need not only to vote for God but we need to do it publically. Each day we get an oppertunity to give acclamation to Christ. I pray that the Lord will continue to open our eyes to those oppertunities.

Did you know that the last time the Philli’s won the world series was the year that I was born. Did you know that if they win this year, it will be the year that Brennon is born. Did you know that Rachel hopes the Philli’s never have another good season.

Hello and Merry Christmasfrom the Music & Worship Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church (aka. where we get most of our music)! I know this is the busiest time of year for those of us who lead worship…but we wanted to give a specia invitation to you and members of your teams to join us for a special Christmas event. The Prestonwood Choir and Orchestra will be presenting a music/multimedia event entitled Gloria. Along with spectacular technology, fantastic dance and great music, you will really enjoy our very special guest, John Tesh! We will also be releasing a brand new Christmas recording, which will feature all of the music at the concert.
If you would like to go, let me know now. I’ll start working it out. It is Saturday, Dec. 13 at 2 pm. Let me know who all wants to go. $10 per ticket. We will probably go out to eat afterwards.

“Nothing so tends to inflate a person with a sense of his or her own importance as the possession of great gifts of intellect or the enjoyment of special and unusual experiences. And nothing more surely disqualifies someone for spiritual usefulness than pride.” - J. Oswald Sanders

Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I have started on my journey to conquer self. So I have made a list of things that I have been praying for strength on. Some of these may seem little to you but I believe that these are some things that the Holy Spirit has been exposing me of that need a better grip on.
One of which is getting up earlier and going to be earlier. I am a huge insomniac so this is no easy task. But with God’s help, these last few weeks have made it easier. I have attached a form to see if there is anything that I might be praying for you for. I’ll keep this form private. Just between you and me. Pick one thing that you would like to work on. I wouldn’t try changing everything at once. I’ll be praying for you and together we might become more like what Christ wants us to be.
.
